BUTTER RATIONING. In many forms of cooking butter can be replaced by Shredded CRYSTAL Pure Beef SUET. This is easy to understand when one realises that butter-fat comes from the cow and CRYSTAL SUET comes from pure beef. One thing to remember is that butter contains a certain amount of salt so that a pinch of salt must be added when CRYSTAL SUET is used. CRYSTAL SUET is convenient and economical, contains no skin or waste, loz equals 1 well heaped tablespoon. All grocers have supplies of CRYSTAL SUET dated for freshness. —1
