The weather forecast for Canterbury, issued at 5 p.m., by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of Issue. Is as follows: North-easterly winds, fresh at times near the coast; otherwise moderate and variable winds. Weather fair to fine, apart from some scattered morning mist. Temperatures mild. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate variable winds. Weather fair to fine and mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was fine and •unny with a moderate north-east wind In the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 62.1 degrees.
