RELIGION AND LIFE

~ Sir,—l quite agree with Mr Buttle that Christians must regard all men, of any or no religion, as their neighbours, and must not consider themselves wiser or better than others. I feel sure the authors of the statement would agree, and would even include Mr Buttle among those whom they should love and respect, as a fellow member of God's family. However, true Christians must condemn false religions as false, just because they believe Christianity is true; As to religious education, it does at least prevent Italians from practising the unnatural crimes of abortion and contraception, so prevalent, alas! among us.—Yours, etc., G. F. SEWARD. Lincoln, November 1, 1943.
