BOWLS

UNITED WOMEN’S CLUB The first official opening of the United Women’s Bowling Club took place recently. There was a large attendance of representatives from all clubs, and the green was in splendid order. The* visitors were welcomed by the president (Mrs Weston), whose daughter threw the Jack, and Mrs Weston rolled the first bowl. The men’s centre was represented by Mr A. Dickson, and the women’s by Mrs Thomas. Mr Pryce-Jones congratulated the section on having obtained a full membership.
