DIVORCE SUIT

A defended divorce suit, in which portion of the evidence was heard before Mr Justice Northcroft and a jury, was opened In Christchurch yesterday. When adjourning the hearing until Monday morning, his Honour warned the jury that they must not discuss the case with any members of the public. The suit was based on the ground of alleged adultery. The petitioner was Paul Henry Colville, motor mechanic, of Christchurch, and the respondent his wife, Theresa Nina Colville (formerly Luxton). John Stacey, traffic inspector, of Christchurch, was named as co-respondent. Mr C. S, Thomas appeared for the petitioner, Mr W. R. Lascelles for the respondent, and Mr A. W. Brown fqr the corespondent.
