WOOL COUPONS
Sir,—l believe it was reported in your columns recently that unused coupons for wool would be cancelled in the near future and ■ a new issue made. If so. the Government has done nothing, to rectify the anomalous position of mothers of young families in the matter of supplies of wool. These mothers cannot hunt the stores to obtain their share of the infrequent and irregular stocks available to the public. They must wait until the coupons of those whose freedom is less curtailed are exhausted before they have a reasonable chance of obtaining wool. I am the mother of two young children and I have not bought one skein of wool in the last three years. In that time I have seen: women wearing hand-knitted dresses a v nd suits, and have noticed shop assistants knitting wool that could have been reserved for children. I need wool.—Yours, etc..
