CHRIST’S COLLEGE OLD BOYS
' ASSOCIATION’S , ANNUAL MEETING
A motion of Mr A. E. Flower to transfer the sum of £SOO from the reserve fund to the scholarship fund was adopted at the annual meeting of the Christ’s College Old Boys’ Association held at the school last evening. The retiring president, Major L. D. Cotterill, gave an outline of the distribution of the fund, .which provides scholarships for the sons of old boys, and said that there would probably be increased scope for the fund after the war. Mr Flower, when putting forward the motion, said he considered the' transfer particularly appropriate at the present time, as this year was the “coming of age’’ of the scholdrship fund. Officers elected were as follows; — president, Mr C. W. D. Bell; vice-presi-dents. Messrs A. E. Flower, E. H. S. Hamilton. Major L. C. L. Averill, Messrs R. J. Hobbs, E. D, R. Smith; secretary, Mr S. P. Godfrey; assistant secretary,- Mr R. B. Howarth; treasurer. Mr H, ' Warren; auditor, Mr J. B. Beckett; committee, Messrs A. L. Mouldey, E. D. R. Smith, J. H. A. Moore, W. W. Dunkley, C. H. Clemens, B. J. Drake, W. J, V. Hamilton, T. W. C. Tothill, J. G. L. Vernon. Appreciation of the services rendered to the board of governors by Mr Henry Cotterill was placed on record, Mr Cotterill, who is the father of the retiring president, retired from the board this year.
