FREE EDUCATION
Sir,—Your correspondent, “Have a Heart,” in comparing a free water supply with free education, etq., to me* is quite out of order. Agreeing to the free artesian water supply, which we know is paid for in rates, I with many others prefer- ta.use the “rain water;” as my doctor prescribes that I should do so. It is then necessary for me to buy a tank and_ other < requisites,, for which I pay quite willingly without any help. It then becomes common sense (to me) that I should not have to pay rates for the other water, which is of no benefit.—Yours, etc.,
