Rugby League, stating that arrangements were being made to send a representative.team from )W e lbngton to play a Canterbury team on October 2, Arrangements for a ground for the match would be made later. An application was received from the Sydenham-Rakala Club asking for permission to travel to Greymouth to play a match with Blackball for the Thacker Shield. The Hornby Club asked for permission to play a return match against Ngahere at Greymouth. It was decided to approve of both these matches.
