TIMBER MILL DESTROYED BY FIRE

(PA.) Fire destroyed-the Standard Ttmbei Co. Ltd.’s mill at Progress Valley, near Niagara, on Sunday. Ibe mill, which usually employed about eight men, and was of medium working size, was completely destroyed, and the machinery badly damaged. ‘ As far. as is known little Umber was destroyed The damage is' estimated about £3ooot Transport licensing.— ln the report in yesterday’sTissue of “The Press" d the proceedings- of the Transport Licensing Authority, Mr J. B. Taylor, (secretary of the Christchurch and Su* burban Carriers’ Association) was te* ferred to as secretary of the Christchurch branch of the Road Transport Alliance. This was incorrect, the secretary of the alliance being Ur A D Ford.
