ORANGES

Sir,—Navel oranges are being sold in Australia to-day at 18s a case, with counts of 126, 140, and 200. The supply to canning factories has been so great that they are only able to deal with half the fruit that is offering In this city thanks to the Labour Government, we have to pay 6d each for oranges, with a 126 count—just £3 3s a case We all know the bitter poorman’s orange but the sweet product introduced by the Marketing Division is known to age pensioners, invalids and children in large families as the richman’s orange.—Yours, etc., C H H August 1. 1943. [This letter was referred to the Internal Marketing Division, but no reply has been received.—Ed„ “The Press/’]
