FIRES
SUNDAY SCHOOL DAMAGED A fire which started at the back of the Anglican Sunday School at Hawke street. New Brighton, on Saturday night, caused fairly severe damage to the rear wall, the roof, and the ceiling right through the building. The Central and New Brighton fire brigades answered a call at 9 p.m. MOTOR-CAR BURNT A motor-car. the property of Mr Otto Boucher, was severely damaged by fire on Sunday morning at 318 Hereford street. The brigade was called at 9.39 a.m. OUTBREAK AT BROMLEY The Central Fire Brigade was called to a grass fire at 12.51 p.m. yesterday at Kearney’s road, Bromley, The fire was extinguished without difficulty, and no damage was caused.
