The weather forecast for Canterbury, Issued at 5 p.m., by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Moderate to fresh south-easterly to easterly winds. Weather fair to fine. Temperatures cool. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds at first, soon becoming variable again. Yesterday morning a frost of 11 degrees was registered. At 1 o’clock this morning there was a south-west breeze blowing, and the sky was overcast.
