One advantage claimed tor the use ol the films is that they allow for exact repetition of speech, thus giving opportunity for the development of accuracy they also lay emphasis on the observa lion, in the early lessons, of environ pent, gesture, etc. thus reversing the technique usually associated in America with tra ning the student to lip-read. Mr John Montgomery, the president of the branch, lent and operated the projector.
Members of the audience showed keen interest in the demonstration, an Interest which has been further made apparent in the discussions which have taken place in the lip-readme classes The entertainment concluded wi'h a thow of nature Mims, after which supper was served bv the catering committee.
