OFFICIAL FORECASTS • The Cress Special Service WELLINGTON, June 27. The weather lorecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time ot issue is as follows: Fresh to strong south-westerly winds. Weather cold, changeable and showery, with hall In places and snow on the ranges and foothills. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is;— Fresh south-westerly to southerly winds. A few showers at first in the north, but weather otherwise fair to fine, but cold. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER Frosts of 8.3 degrees and .4 of a degree were recorded in Christchurch on Saturday and yesterday respectively. The week-end was mainly fine, though light showers fell early yesterday morning At 1 o’clock this morning rain was falling, and there was a cold wind from the south. The barometer at 29.65 inches (1004.1 millibars) was rising.
