Barrs,, who awarded the prizes to Mrs F Cridge 1. Mrs W, McKay 2, Mrs A, Stott 3. It was decided to ask all next-of-kin to attend the July meeting members to bring any souvenirs from oversea? for 3 the afternoon. Competitions resulted:—Decorated tin: Miss N. Bruere 1 Mrs A. Brlngans 3. Nut-loaf. Mrsi H. Reed 1. Mrs R. Duncan 2. Large *? loor !V Mrs H. Heed. Small bloom: Miss N. Hororata.—'The Hororata branch .of the Women’s Division of -the Farmers' Union celebrated its fourteenth birthday- with an afternoon party held in Uie Pariah Hall. Items were given by Mesdarni.3 W H Scott and J. Oakley and the school children, and a humorous; trave talk was given by the Rev. E. E. Malden The birthday cake, with 14 candles, was man-, by Mrs A. D. Oliver and cut by Me»dames H. Oliver and T. B. Jones The president (Miss Thorne) presented ths trophies for most points gained in competitions during the year, which were won by:—Large bloom; Mrs Pearson J, Mrs Hockridge 2, Miss Hockridge 3. Small bloom: Miss Hockridge X. Mrs Hockridge 2. Mrs Barrett 3. General competitions. Mrs Hockridge 1. Miss Hockridge 2. Mrs Duckmanttn 3. Most points during ear. Mrs Hockridge. Port Levy.—The June meeting of ths Port Levy Women’s Division of tbe Fanners’ Union was held in the Clubhouse. Fernlea. The president, Mrs F Jenkin. welcomed two new members There we, t large entries in all the competitions. The result were as follows:—Decorated bowl. Miss K. Jennings, Mrs E. W. Coop. Mrs Jenkins, and Miss Rema Wilson (all equal) 1. Best bloom; Miss E. Jennings L M.s J Grant 2. Sweet biscuits: Mrs Brain. Mrs G. Richfield, Miss Rema Wilson (equal) 1. The president gave a demonstration on patchwork quilting, and it was decided that the division members should make a patchwork quilt.
