DOG TRIALS

BANKS PENINSULA CLUB The Banks Peninsula Collie Dog Club's annual trials were commenced at Little River yesterday. in the open heading class, 37 dogs were run out of an entry of 47. The result of the open heading class was: R. Innes’s Storm (96J points) 1. T. Brankin’s Sharp (96) 2. R. Wilson’s Roy (93) 3, J. Matson’s Fin (93J) 4. Brankin's Sharp won the district class and Wilson's Roy the maiden class, run in conjunction with the open heading class. „ „ The district heading class, the J. F. Buchanan aggregate cup class, and the huntaway class will probably be completed to-day. Mr J. Borthwick, Papanui, is Acting as judge at the trials.
