REGULATIONS UNDER LICENSING ACT

PROVISIONS EXTENDED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 6, An amendment to the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations issued with the Gazette to-night extends the provisions of the regulations to cover earthquake or similar damage. Th‘e regulations made provision for the waiver of regulations relating to accommodation provisions at hotels in the event of war damage. The amendment provides for cases where guest accommodation has been destroyed by earthquake or other causes and cannot be restored because of war conditions.
