OFFICIAL FORECASTS (P.S.S.) WELLINGTON, April 9. The weather forecast for Canterbury. Issued at 3 p.m. by the Meteorological Cffine. Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as folk ws:— Moderate to strong south-westerlies. Weather cold and changeable with passing showers, but gradually improving. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast ot the South Island is as follows: Fresh to strong, but gradually decreasing south-westerly winds. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The morning in Christchurch yesterday was fine and mild, but witli a change in the wind from north-west to south-west the weather became cooler and there was light rain.
