RANGIORA There were small yardings at the weekly stock market at Rangiora yesterday Prices ranged as follows; Sheep.—Fat lambs, 24s 4d to 32s 3d; fat ewes, 10s to 14s 6d; sound-mouth ewes. 15s to 255: two-tooth wethers, 25s 6d. Cattle—Dairy cows, £7 to £l2: store cows, 35s to £3. Pigs.—Sows, £3 2s 6d to £7; slips, 26s to 345: weaners. Us 6d to 14s. LORNEVILLE (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, April 6. The extra large yarding of fat cattle at Lorneville to-day comprised mainly medium and inferior quality cows, only a small proportion of good quality steers and heifers being included. The sale was dull, and prices generally were easier by £1 a head Good quality medium-weight bullocks made from £l3 5s to £l4 10s, handy-weights £ll Ss to £l2 ss. and light-weights £9 13s to £lO 10s. Lightweight heifers made from £8 10s to £9 ss, and small £6 10s to £7 10s. Good quality cows realised £7 13s to £8 10s, medium £6 10s to £7 ss, and unfinished £4 10s to £5 10s Fat sheep values were much the same as at last week’s sale. Prime quality wethers realised 32s to 38s 6d, medium and light-weights 27s to 29s 3d, maiden ewes up to 18s, prime quality 13s 3d to 14s 3d. and freezing weights 12s to 15s 6d. Heavy-weight lambs realised 32s 6d to 34s 6d. prime freezing weights 26s 6d to 27s 6d, medium 24s to 23s 3d. and light-weights 21s to 22s 6d.
