Assets.—Gold, £2,801,878 (£2,801,878); sterling exchange in New Zealand currency, £22,230,554 (£31,731,777); subsidiary coin, £24.032 (£25,902); advances to the Marketing Department, £4,309,238 (£4,936,293); for other purposes. £28,135,000 (£26,175,000); investments, £10,458.322 (£4,458,442); other assets, £2,326,018 (£2,350,190); total, £70,285,041 (£72,479,481). Proportion of reserve to notes and other demand liabilities, 37.285 per cent. (49.81 per cent.). MINING Blackball Creek.—The Blackball creek return last week was 30oz for 117 hours. Snowy River. —There was no wash-up last week, the machinery being under repair. Golden Sands.—The return for 20 shifts was 20oz 12dwt.
