Captain R. E. Meyer has relinquished the temporary rank of captain and has been transformed from the Canterbury '.eomanry Cavalry to the reserve of officers in the rank of lieutenant. Pilot Officer J. Higgins, of Papanui, is now serving as a flying instructor overseas. He received his commission in England recently. The promotion of Captain (temporary Major) C. A. S. Hind, M.C., Canterbury -Reglrtiettf,- to the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel has-been gazetted. The appointment of Mr H. F. Nicoll to be a member of the Mid-Canterbury Licensing Committee is announced in the Gazette.
