W.A.A.C. RECRUITS

ENLISTMENTS URGENTLY NEEDED “Recruiting is continuing for all branches of service in the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps.” stated Hie District Commandant of the Corps yesterday, commenting on a rumour that postings had ceased. The minimum age for recruits is 18 years, and general intelligence and alertness are more essential than a high standard of education. Types of work being offered are operational duties in anti-aircraft batteries and coastal defence batteries, height and range finders, cyphers and signals, cooks, mess hands, and clerks. Enlistments are urgently needed and can be made through the local Army registration office and fhe office of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary.
