N.Z. Pilots Fly to Casablanca.—Two New Zealanders had a minor but important share in the Casablanca conference. They flew Lord Louis Mountbatten, Chief of Combined Operations, and General Sir Alan Brooke. Chief of the Imperial General Staff, to Casablanca. and brought Lord Leathers back. They are Flight Lieutenant C. W, Evans, of Wanganui, and Flying Officer T. J. W r , Williams, of Otane, who are navigator and pilot respectively of a Liberator bomber.—London, Feb, 24.
