Sunday Drill.—A recommendation that youths engaged on Sunday school or church work should be exempted from Home Guard drill on Sundays was approved by the Methodist Conference yesterday. St. John Ambulance Ward Room at Sumner.—The Sumner St. John Ambulance demonstration ward, which was officially opened recently, has been improved by the generosity of a Sumner resident who has had the walls of the room reconditioned and a doorway put in to give access to a second room. The ward has been made possible by the efforts of Sister G. Fenwick, commandant of the Sumner St. John Nursing. Division, and is a great help in the training of personnel
