HARMONIC SOCIETY
Moving the adoption of the annual report of the Christchurch Harmonic Society, the chairman (Mr W. H. Down) congratulated members on another successful year, both in the high standard of singing and in a record credit balance. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, the Governor-Gen-eral (Sir Cyril Newall); president, Dr. James Hight; vice-presidents, 27 reelected, with the addition of Dr. T. Vernon Griffiths; conductor, Mr V. C. Peters; accompanist. Miss Gwen McLeod; librarian, Mrs L. A. Strong; secretary, Mrs B. McEchen; treasurer, Mr Eric Craighead; auditor, Mr L. H. Fee; committee, Mrs E. Jory, and Messrs W. H. Down, R. Drayton. E. J. Johnson, R, F. Hunter, and E. Craighead.
