The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the S4 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: West to north-west winds prevailing and freshening. Weather fair and warm, but later rain developing in the southern portion of the Alps. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is as follows: — Freshening west to north-west winds. Weather fair at first, but becoming cloudy and rain later developing. Temperatures mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine and warm with moderate northerly Winds.
