POST-WAR MARKETING OF WOOL
* A full discussion on the post-war marketing of wool took place in committee at a meeting of the South Canterbury executive of the Farmers’ Union yesterday. It was decided that the following resolution, moved by Mr G. Barclay, and seconded by Mr J. Macaulay, should be released for publication;—“ That the Dominion executive undertake to investigate proposals for post-war marketing of wool, and that the executive be prepared to send delegates representing the Farmers’ Union to a conference of wool producers from South Africa. Australia, and New Zealand.” Also, after a discussion in committee, the following resolution moved by Mr J. Hay, was c;.rried:~“That this executive press the Minister to make an immediate announcement regarding the inquiry for small seeds from Great Britain for the 1943 and 1944 seasons.”
