An Auckland taxi-driver who had written of! as a bad debt the amount of a fare he was not able to collect from two American servicemen seven months ago received a pleasant surprise when a draft for the sum outstanding was received from San Francisco (says the “New Zealand Herald"). Though the accompanying letter did not disclose what hud been done, it was apparent that a search had been made for the two men among several thousands of their fellow-servicemen and the offenders delected.
