CANTERBURY COLLEGE COUNCIL
SEVEN NOMINATIONS FOR VACANCY Seven nominations have been received for the casual vacancy on the council of Canterbury University College caused by the death of Mr H. D. Acland. The seat is filled by Canterbury school committees. An election will be held on February 1. The names of those nominated are; Mr Douglas David Robert Cresswell, of Governor’s Bay; Mr Theodore Nisbet Gibbs, of Christchurcl); Mr Arnold Greenwood, of Christchurch; Mr James Wyn Irwin, of Christchurch; Mr Thomas Nuttall, of Christchurch: Mr Stanley Smith, of Methven; and Mr Francis Joseph Walklin. of Christchurch. ____________
