SCHOOL CRICKET
OTAGO BOYS’ HIGH BEATS
CHRIST’S COLLEGE
The annual cricket match held yesterday between Christ’s College and Otago Boys High School was won by Otago by 27 runs on the first innings. Scoring was slow throughout the day, and Otago took a long time to reach its total. W. P. Finnigan and B. Welsh held their bats for most of the morning and made a cautious 47 between them. D. J. Dowsett hi' out, however, and made a creditable showing before he was well caught by G. F. Ayling. J. A. Cunninghame bowled well for Christ’s College. The scoring for Christ's College was equally slow, but the monotony was broken by R. E. Purdie, who attacked the bowling in good style, making 59. Results: —
