UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A little over three years ago Adolf , ( Hitler started something he can't finish. , but WE can.
It took three years of bitter losses and grievous blows before our full strength could be massed .... before we could begin to pay back blow for blow with interest.
In November, 1942, we began repayment. But we have only just begunFor the fighting men of the United Nations a long and heavy road lies ahead. Now, of all times, there can be no relaxing for them. If this is true of the fighting men, it is equally true of us. Here, on the home front, we must spare no effort to make e«ch blow more telling than the last. We must redouble our efforts on every front. . . including the National Savings front. Last December when danger was pressing near our shores £430,000 was lent through National Savings. This year with Victory the goal, we should strive to exceed that figure. Making Christmas gifts of National Savings Bonds, Gift Coupons, or Savings Stamps on the attractive card provided, not only solves your gift problems but also is a practical way of helping the nation to finish this unfinished business. —1 _
