COURT-MARTIAL HELD

GUNNER PLEADS GUILTY

A court-martial adjourned from last week to hear a charge against Gunner John Michael McGurrin, of striking a superior officer, was held yesterday. Captain H. Edgar appeared for McGurrin, who pleaded guilty, and said that defendant was under the impression that a trap had been set for him by the sergeant. The actual striking, although a breach of discipline, was not serious and in a civil court would not have been treated as anything but a minor offence. The gravity of the offence was in striking a superior officer. f The penalty injgpsed will be forwarded to the convening officer for confirmation. \
