HUNTSBURY DOMAINS

Vesting of two recreation reserves in the suburb of Huntsbury in the Christchurch City Council is to be sought from the Minister of Lands. The reserves are owned by the Crown, but are controlled by the Huntsbury uomain Board, and it was reported to the council this week that it was understood the board had no funds. One reserve, an acre in area, lies off Albert terrace, and is used as a children’s playground. The larger reserve, consisting of four acres, is on the steep hillside at the end of Huntsbury avenue. When labour is available the City Council intends to put the children’s playground in order.
