HOME GUARD
Sir _I. read with interest your article on the big parade of Home Guard battalions on December 6. Let us compare this parade with the battalion that the Banks Peninsula Home Guard is holding, also pn December 6, at Little River, which I commend to the notice of battalion Men from-all companies will be competing in wiring, section in attack, shooting, camouflage and concealment, grenade throwing, machine-gun, and other competitions. .There will also be a tactical exercise for officers. Ever since the Home Guard was formed, I, have never seen the men so keen as in the preparations for these competitions, and I am confident this is one of the best systems of training for the H° me Guard - YOUrS ’JgXEDSMAN.
