PACIFIC FORCES VISITED

NEW ZEALAND DELEGATION RETURNS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. A delegation appointed by the War Cabinet has returned to New Zealand from a visit to New Caledonia. Fiji, and Tonga. The delegation, which comprised the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Lieutenant-General E. Puttick, Air Commodore R. V. Goddard, and Mr C. A. Berendsen, secretary of the War Cabinet, met the authorities directing the United Nations’ war effort in the south Pacific for the purpose of consultation on matters of common concern. The visit also provided opportunity for the delegation to meet members of the New Zealand forces at various points, and to discuss with them their conditions and requirements. The New Zealand troops were everywhere found to be in good shape and in excellent heart. '
