VICTORY BOOK DRIVE

Sir, —Now that the campaign has finished I should like to thank very sincerely all those who sent in books and magazines for the fighting services. We received about 4000 books and about 6000 magazines, ail of which will be appreciated by the men and women in the various units. Special thanks are due to the staff of 3ZB radio station, the Christchurch Tramways staff, and the Army transport section, all of whom did splendid service throughout the day. To the boy scouts, the school children, helpers at the library, and all who assisted to make the drive a success may I express warmest thanks.—Yours, etc., ERNEST J. BELL, Librarian, War Library Service. November 23, 1942.
