♦ —- ASPECT OF WORK'OF SIR •STAFFORD CRIPPS ;• ' LONDON, Nov. 24. The- political’ correspondent of “Daily Mail’’ states that Sir .Stafford Cripps will henceforth concentrate on the all-out development of radio as an offensive weapon for submarine and air warfare. . A , . Mr* Churchill, for some time, has been chairman of the War Cabinet committee 1 specially. concerned with anti-U-boat warfare. Sir Stafford - Cripps will be vice-chairman*of this committee, also chairman of a special Cabinet radio 1 committee, which is handling the co-ordination of the latest scientific developments. . . Sir. Stafford’s transfer is justified in some quarters on the grounds that he has boundless energy which will be invaluable in speeding up production, but ijq attempt has been made, even among his closest friends, to deny that he has been a restless member of the War Cabinet. Actually he tendered his resignation to Mr Churchill som® time ago.
