♦ CHRISTCHURCH LADIES’ CLUB At the annual meeting of the Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club, held at the club house yesterday afternoon, it was announced that, although the season had been a quiet one, expenses had been reduced and the profit and loss account showed a credit balance, while the fund for patriotic work, such as providing tea at the Welcome Club, providing parcels for former golfers now serving overseas, and similar undertakings, also showed a smalt credit balance. The president, Mrs E. S. Vernon, and the vice-president, Mrs M. H. Godby, congratulated the committee on the capable manner in which it had conducted the affairs of the club during a difficult year. Prizes won during the year were presented by Mrs Vernon, and a match, played yesterday for prizes given by Mrs A. Boon, were won by Miss Melva Wake and Mrs Blackmore. Players were the guests of Mrs Godby at tea, Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows; President, Mrs Vernon; vice-president, Mrs M. H. Godby; captain. Miss M, Beadel; honorary secretary, Miss M. Wake; honorary treasurer, Miss J. Wilkin: committee, Misses M. Enright, E. White-Parsons, E. Nutt, Mcsdames J. Middleton, and R. H. Tait.
