WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION

Walmalrl-Papanul.—Mrs J. H. Reynolds presided at the monthly meeting of the division, and Miss Stone gave a demonstration on the making of skin and household gloves. Competitions were tor a vase of flowers, a cluster bloom, a single bloom, cheese biscuits, and a handkerchief rnsde from a salt bag. Mesdames McKenzi*. Orchard, and Liddell were hostesses Klccarton.—Mrs Shanks presided at the monthly meeting of the division. One new member was welcomed. Mrs W. Houston gave an address on the girl guide movement and its activities. Arrangements were finalised for the forthcoming flower show. The usual monthly subscriptions were collected for soldiers’ parcels. Members of the committee were hostesses for afternoon tea.
