At the annual luncheon reunion of the Christchurch branch of St. Hilda’s Old Girls’ Association, held at the National Club yesterday, the president, MrsT. W. C. Tothill. read a letter from the Christchurch branch of iAir Force Relations, thanking members for valuable help given by knitting for men of the Air Force. The letter asked for continued or increased support, as it pointed out that many who formerly knitted for airmen had now joined the services and were unable to help as much as they did formerly. It was decided to continue to knit during the summer months. MANNEQUIN PARADE "The Travel Club is behind the General Service Corps, and the General Service Corps is behind every type of patriotic work undertaken in Christchurch,’’ said Mrs Cecil Wood, president of the General Service Corps, when she was speaking at a mannequin parade held at Messrs Hay's, Ltd., last evening. The parade was arranged by the Travel Club to raise money to finance the General Service Corps, which, at art notice, will undertake any class of patriotic work, from sorting buttons to maki; g cloti i for sick and needy dependant? of service nen.
