MINE WASHED UP NEAR WESTPORT

(0.C.) WESTPORT, November 16. A mine about 3ft 6in in diameter was washed up on the beach at Carter’s, three miles from Westport, this afternoon. The mine, which showed signs of long immersion in the sea, is being guarded by military authorities pending the arrival of naval experts who are expected to inspect it tomorrow.
