CO-ORDINATION OF SUPPLIES
SOUTH AFRICAN ACTION (Rec. 9 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, Oct. 7. General Smuts announced the formation of a National Supplies Council under which military and civil supplies will be co-ordinated. The Director-General of Supplies is empo./ered to order any person or company to undertake the manufacture of commodities which cannot be imported because of the lack of shipping.
