STALINGRAD BATTLE Stalingrad's defenders last night, with tanks and tommyguns, forced their way into the wedge the Germans drove into the city, area on the evening of September 26, states the Stockholm correspondent of the “Daily Express.” They recaptured the streets and eliminated the wedge.—London, September 28.
