TROTTING NOTES
New Brighton Nominations Nominations for the New Brighton Trotting Club’s spring meeting to be held at Addington on October 10 will close at 5 p.m. to-day. —6 Novice Pacers Coral Glow, who started in the Geraldine Trot on Saturday, is a six-year-old mare by Jack Potts from Patti Bingen, and is trained by R. W. Townley. Coupled with Coral Glow was another novice in Night Porter (a five-year-old bay gelding by Jack Potts—Probationer), which should do well with racing experience. Probationer held a mile and a half record of 3min 16 2-ssec, and is by Wrack from a good producer in Our Nurse, 3mln 32Jsec. A Good Trotter An outstanding trotter raced at the Wellington meeting was Steel King, whose decisive win from 96yds over a mile and a half makes him out to be a horse who will hold his own in Metropolitan company. Steel King’s next appearance will be at Addington.
