CYCLIST KILLED IN COLLISION
COMPANION SLIGHTLY HURT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 25. When a light delivery van collided with two cyclists at Epsom, Mr Neville Rex Newby, aged 23, of Sandringham, was killed instantly, and Mr Desmond Williams was slightly injured. The men were cycling home when the van struck them. The van swerved on to two veranda posts and came to rest against a power pole. It was so badly damaged it had to be towed away.
