WEATHER REPORT

OFFICIAL FORECASTS (P.S.S.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. The feather forecast for Canterbury, issued at 5 pm. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is •s follows:

Fresh to strong south-westerly winds prevailing. Weather still changeable with occasional showers but fair periods. Temperatures cold with some scattered sleet about the hills.

CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER

The weather in Christchurch yesterday was changeable. There was a frost of five degrees in the morning, and the day was line until the aiternoon, when there was a strong south-westerly wind, followed by rain. In the evening there was a hailstorm and heavy rain about 6 p.m. Ram Jell later in the evening.

At 1 o’clock this morning the sky - was clear and there was a light wind & from the south-west. The barometer at 29.75 in (1007.5 millibars) was rising.
