VICEREGAL (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 24. The Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall) and Lady Newall returned to Wellington from the Hawke's Bay district this evening.
The Hon. W. J. Poison (Minister of Primary Production for War Purposes) arrived in Christchurch yesterday by air from Wellington, He met the Canterbury Primary Production Councils last night, and will travel to Dunedin to-day, returning here on Monday and leaving for Wellington on Tuesday. Mr Justice O’Regan, accompanied by his Associate, Mr A. T. Magnusson, arrived from Wellington by air yesterday. He will hold a sitting of the Compensation Court to-day and again on Monday. He will leave for the West Coast on Tuesday. The Gazette announces the appointment until March 26, 1943, of ActingAir Commodore Maurice William Buckley as Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General, in place of Wing Commander John Seabrook.— (P.A.)
