TRANSPORT CONTROL EMERGENCY REGULATIONS, 1942. v A Committee; to be known as the North Canterbury Goods Transport Control Committee, has been constituted under the above regulations for the goods district described below:—. . Amurl, Cheviot, and Walpara Counties, together with all Boroughs and town districts situated therein as more particularly delineated on the plan marked T.T. 3344 deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington. , ' From and including Monday, 28th September, it will be illegal for any person, unless subject to any directions, either general or special, to carry any goods or livestock hy motor vehicle for hire or reward within the above-mentioned district, except with permission of the Committee. ’ Carriers may as heretofore receive •orders for the cartage of goods and livestock, but before executing such orders the approval of the Committee or its delegate must be obtained. In order that undue Inconvenience or delay may' be avoided, the undermentioned delegates have been appointed by the Committee at the centres stated:— Walau—Mr S. Kinrald. Culverden—Mr L. E. Morrison. Hawarden—Mr V. V. Gallagher. Waikari—Mr J. S. Douglas. Mina —Mr G. Wilson. These delegates will authorise transport in their vicinity and carriers will require to submit to them all orders for the transport of goods and livestock. Where possible, transport users are requested to give two days’ notice of work required, so that, if necessary, full loads may be arranged.
