The weather forecast for Canterbury, Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows; Fresh southerly to south-westerly winds. Weather cool and changeable, with occasional showers, but Improving later. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the (South Island is as follows: Fresh southerly to westerly winds. Weather cool and changeable with scattered showers, but fair at Intervals. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather on Saturday was sunny. It was overcast yesterday and light rain began late in the afternoon. At 1 a.m. there was a slight drizzle' and the wind was strong from the south-west.
